Recommended 4-day Golden Triangle itinerary
Day 1: Delhi sightseeing
Start with a compact city plan based on the group’s interests. India Gate area, one major monument, a market and a relaxed meal stop are more realistic than trying to cover every attraction. Keep extra time for parking, security checks and cross-city traffic.
Day 2: Delhi to Agra
Leave early and travel to Agra by the route agreed with the driver. Visit the Taj Mahal and, if the group has enough time and energy, Agra Fort. Check current opening days and ticket information on the official Taj Mahal website. Stay overnight in Agra instead of rushing toward Jaipur late at night.
Day 3: Agra to Jaipur
Drive toward Jaipur after breakfast. Fatehpur Sikri can be added only when the group starts on time and accepts the extra stop. On arrival, check in and use the evening for a nearby market or rest.
Day 4: Jaipur sightseeing and Delhi return
Choose two or three priorities such as Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal viewpoints or the City Palace area. Returning to Delhi after sightseeing makes this a long day. A five-day trip is a better choice for senior citizens, young children or guests who prefer a slower pace.
Which vehicle size should you book?
| Group need | Practical option | Check before booking |
|---|---|---|
| Small family/group | 9 or 12 seater | Suitcase and rear luggage space |
| Medium group | 16 or 20 seater | Seat layout and push-back seats |
| Premium comfort | Maharaja or Force Urbania | Exact model, seating and inclusions |
A seat count alone is not enough. Confirm the actual vehicle, luggage arrangement, air-conditioning and passenger mix. See the 12-seater guide or compare options on our Tempo Traveller Delhi page.
What affects the Golden Triangle fare?
Transport quotations usually depend on total kilometres, trip days, vehicle category and pickup point. Tolls, parking, interstate taxes, driver allowance, night charges and additional local use may be charged separately. Hotels, monument tickets, guides and meals are not included unless the quotation clearly says so.
Use the Tempo Traveller cost guide to understand fare components, then request an itinerary-based quote instead of relying on a generic per-kilometre figure.

Frequently asked questions
Is four days enough for Delhi, Agra and Jaipur?
Four days can cover the major highlights at a fast but practical pace. Five days are more comfortable when the group includes children or senior citizens.
Can we start the trip from the airport?
Yes. Share the flight time, terminal, passenger count and luggage quantity so pickup time and vehicle capacity can be planned correctly.
Are monument tickets included in the vehicle quote?
Normally they are separate unless a package explicitly includes them. Confirm every inclusion in writing.
Which vehicle is best for 10–12 passengers?
A 12-seater may work when luggage is limited. With large suitcases, a bigger vehicle can be more comfortable.
